Britain’s Prince Harry paid a surprise visit to schoolchildren in Nottingham.
Pupils at the Huntingdon Academy were "thrilled" when the 30-year-old royal turned up to discuss the Full Effect Youth Project, which works with young students in the St Ann’s area to help them avoid becoming involved in gangs and youth-violence when they leave primary school.
The Huntingdon Academy’s headteacher, Teres Shrestha told the Nottingham Post: "I’m absolutely thrilled he’s come to meet our children.
"It’s really important that he supports and believes in our community here – it’s something really positive.
"We talked about how important it is to develop positive role models for future generations and he was really interested.
"The kids didn’t know he was coming here and only found out when they met him so it was a nice surprise.
"It’s great for them to share their work with a member of the Royal Family."
Harry was spotted laughing and joking with students before meeting the stars and creators of ‘Guillemot’, a new film depicting real-life stories of youths in the area.
He also attended the film’s premiere at the city’s Cornerhouse Cinema.
The prince was later described by one student as a "regular visitor" to the area after several of his classmates revealed they had met Harry on two previous occasions.
The outing marked the second official engagement for the royal this year after he visited runners training for the marathon at Twickenham Stadium earlier in the week.
