Mark Wright is trying to bulk up after losing 21 pounds on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘TOWIE’ star came fourth on last year’s series of the BBC dancing competition and the gruelling rehearsals took their toll on his physique.
As well as fat, ‘Take Me Out – The Gossip’ host Mark lost muscle mass and he is now hitting the gym to bring his weight back up.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Well I normally go to the gym all year round and do weights but I wasn’t able to do that because of time so I lost a lot of weight – a stone and half but in muscle and a bit of fat – but I just want to put muscle back on."
When asked how he was going to regain his muscles, Mark explained: "Back to the gym. Four times a week probably. I feel like I’m really slim generally so I just want to put it back on."
Since the competition ended, the 28-year-old star has been busy on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tour and with the ‘Take Me Out’ spin-off show which he co-presents with Laura Jackson.
Mark is also currently in the middle of organising his wedding to ‘Coronation Street’ actress Michelle Keegan but despite his busy schedule he has no intention of slowing and insists he and Michelle, 27, always make time for one another.
He explained: "Most couples work separately but you find time to see each other. I think we are going to keep busy because work’s important but as long as we have our relationship see each other that’s just as important as well. I’m sure that will continue to happen."
Dating show ‘Take Me Out’ – hosted by Paddy McGuinness – airs on ITV every Saturday night, directly followed by ‘Take Me Out – The Gossip’ on ITV2.
