Ken Morley’s wife claims he picked up his bad language from Shakespeare.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actor’s wife Sue has jumped to his defence after he was removed from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house for using "unacceptable and offensive language" insisting he must have picked it up from books and TV series.
She said: "I think possibly – how should I put it – he’s been reading lots of Jacobean and Shakespearean drama.
"He will have watched ‘Breaking Bad’ as well. I know my son’s got it. He would have got it from there."
The loyal wife – who tied the knot with Ken in 1989 – also went on to claim that her husband’s fellow housemates on the Channel 5 show were far too sensitive about his racist and sexist remarks.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I was surprised by the level of offence. This was collective hysteria. Everything he said was in a jokey, conversational tone.
"I am puzzled by the way CBB made certain judgements about him. I think the women need to calm down and enjoy themselves. There’s far worse things that could happen than this."
Sue also claimed she wasn’t bothered by Ken’s claims he’d watched 27-year-old Cami Li and 21-year-old Chloe Goodman in the bathroom because they have the "best a***s in the world.
She added: "I didn’t mind in the slightest.
"There he is in this house with these scantily dressed, beautiful young women – I’m not surprised. A lot of men would have agreed with him."
