Jack Whitehall thinks he’s turning into his father.
The 26-year-old comedian has confessed his girlfriend and ‘Fresh Meat’ co-star Gemma Chan thinks he’s becoming more and more like his dad Michael, with whom he hosts BBC Two chat show ‘Backchat’.
He said: "If I start getting annoyed or angry about something, my girlfriend will say, ‘Is that Michael Whitehall talking?’
"A few months ago I got annoyed at someone for wearing flip-flops at the supermarket with really mangy feet, and found myself shouting, ‘Why can’t they put on some socks? Or go home and put some shoes on?’ That’s exactly what my dad would say."
The ‘Bad Education’ star claims that while his mum and dad have been incredibly supportive of his career in comedy, his dad asked him to pay him back for all the money he spent on giving him a private education.
Jack told Radio Times magazine: "He used to joke that when I became famous I could pay him back for all the school fees he wasted on me, but there’s absolutely no way!
"It was his choice. I would have been perfectly happy at a state school. I didn’t ask to go to boarding school. I actively said I didn’t want to, so he’s only got himself to blame."
