Lena Dunham’s gift for Taylor Swift


Lena Dunham bought Taylor Swift a personalised necklace for her birthday.

The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker – who turned 25 yesterday (13.12.14) – was given a necklace with a pendant that featured a photograph of her cat, Meredith.

Sharing a picture of the gift on Instagram, Taylor wrote: "My birthday present from @lenadunham my new most cherished possession (sic)."

The ‘Girls’ star also took to social media to send her birthday wishes to the singer.

She wrote: "Happy 25th bday to my love @taylorswift13. I’m not the only girl you inspire but I am the only one you share nightgowns with. (sic)."

Taylor partied with a whole host of famous pals on Friday (12.12.14) night to celebrate the milestone birthday.

Guests at her apartment in Tribeca, New York City included Beyoncé, Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith and Karlie Kloss as well as Emma Roberts, Ansel Elgort, Kelly Osbourne, Nick Jonas, Chrissy Teigen and Selena Gomez.

Captioning a photograph from the festivities, she wrote: "So this is being 25 … #WHAT #bestbirthdayEVER. (sic)"

Guests were fed with over 20 boxes of pizza and reportedly didn’t leave until 5am the next morning.

Meanwhile, the ‘Blank Space’ hitmaker was also treated to a birthday serenade by legendary soul singer, Aretha Franklin.

Uploading a video of the performance to Twitter, Taylor wrote: "Aretha Franklin just sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to me and it will take me decades to recover. #goals (sic)"
