Reese Witherspoon’s daughter is uncomfortable with her mother’s nude scenes.
The 38-year-old actress has to appear naked in her new movie, ‘Wild’, which her 15-year-old daughter, Ava, finds "weird".
Reese explained: "Ava’s 15 and there are parts in the film that I had to explain to her. I told her, ‘I’m naked in the movie…’ and she was like, ‘Mom, that’s so weird!’
"I said, ‘I had to be brave Ava, and I couldn’t just tell the parts I was comfortable with, because Cheryl was brave to tell her whole story, so I had to tell even the parts that I was scared to do’."
Reese – who also has 11-year-old, Deacon with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe and two-year-old Tennessee with her husband Jim Toth – sympathises with her daughter, admitting that it would be just as weird for her if her mother did the same thing.
new! magazine reports Reese as saying: "She’s like, ‘I know but if this was Grandma Betty…’ I said, ‘You’re right, that would be really, really weird!’ But she’s very proud of me."
Meanwhile, Reese recently revealed that she would encourage her children to become actors if they wanted to.
When asked how she would respond if her children admitted they wanted to follow in her footsteps, she said: "It’s a wonderful business. I feel like I’ve seen the world. I’ve met amazing people. I used to have all these regrets; I didn’t finish college. And about a year ago it was like, ‘Why would I regret not finishing college?’
"I’ve had a wonderful life and I’ve been everywhere and I’ve gotten to work with creative people and tell stories. That’s all I ever wanted to do. So if [my kids] wanted to do it, I’d be very encouraging."
