Kanye West is reportedly planning to quit music for fashion.
The ‘Bound 2’ hitmaker – who has 16-month-old daughter North with wife Kim Kardashian West – wants to "step away" from the recording studio so he can concentrate on his desire to establish a clothing line.
A source said: "After his next [collaboration] with Sir Paul McCartney comes out, he’s going to step away from music and concentrate on clothing."
And if he does turn his back on his music career, it is hoped the 37-year-old rapper can finally fulfill his commitments to Adidas.
The source added to the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column:
"He got a $15 million signing bonus from Adidas, but his line has been pushed back four times because he hasn’t had enough time to work on it."
Kanye previously had a deal with Nike but left to work with their rivals as they offered more money.
He has explained in the past: "The old me — without a daughter — might have taken this Nike deal because I just love Nike so much, blah, blah, blah, but the new me, with a daughter, takes the Adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family…
I’m going to be the first hip-hop designer, and because of that I’mma be bigger than Wal-Mart."
