
Stevi Ritchie has been eliminated from the ‘X Factor’.
The former call centre worker – who has become infamous on the show for adding entertainment value – lost out to Italian powerhouse, Andrea Faustini, in the sing-off.
Speaking after his exit, Stevi – who re-entered the ITV show as a wildcard in the Overs category – said: "Do you know what – the whole experience for me has been an absolute dream. I mean, I never would have thought I would get this far ever.
"I just want to thank all the general public at home for keeping me in and voting each week … I want to thank all the production staff, the producers and all that, they work so hard. You, Dermot [O’Leary], and all the lovely judges …
"And my best friend, and mentor, Simon Cowell."
Stevi – who was booted off the the show when Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Louis Walsh and Mel B all chose to save Andrea – is the second act to leave the competition this weekend as part of a double elimination.
Only The Young – which consists of Charlie George, 17, 20-year-old Parisa Tarjomani, Betsy-Blue English, 18 and 19-year-old Mike Bromley – was eliminated yesterday (22.11.14).
They praised the talent show for giving them the "best time of [their] lives", saying: "We’re just so grateful to everyone that’s kept us in the competition so far. All the people that have worked on the show thank you so much, we’ve had an incredible time and this is not the end of Only The Young.
"We’ve had the absolute best time of our lives and we wouldn’t change anything we’ve done."
