Chloe Grace Moretz is up for a role in ‘X-Men Apocalypse’.
The 17-year-old actress is reportedly having initial discussions with director Bryan Singer to portray one of the superheroes when they were younger.
The movie sequel – which follows ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ – is set in 1983 and will show the origin of the mutant race.
According to The Wrap, Chloe as well as Elle Fanning, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Hardy, Charlie Rowe and Timothee Chalamet are wanted for roles in the film by Singer and 20th Century Fox.
There are no details of which characters they may play, but actors will need to be cast as Jean Grey and Cyclops now they have been restored to the timeline by the actions of Wolverine and the other X-Men in the last film. Storm – played by Halle Berry in previous films – will also feature.
The film will focus on the First Class squad battling a new powerful mutant, and Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto are set to be the main protagonists.
Shooting on the project is due to start in April 2015 in Montreal, Canada, and the movie is scheduled for a May 2016 release.
