Natalie Dormer has praised Jennifer Lawrence for keeping everyone’s spirits up while filming ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’.
The 32-year-old actress – who plays Cressida in the dsytopian film series – was full of good things to say about her co-star Jennifer, 24, and the film’s director Francis Lawrence, 43, as she revealed that the pair stopped the cast and crew from feeling homesick during their long shoots.
Natalie shared: "It’s important on nine-month shoot. Everyone is homesick and the energy always filters down from the top. So to have two such happy, positive people in Francis and Jennifer was to everyone’s benefit."
The blonde beauty also admitted that hanging out with Jen and their male co-stars Josh Hutcherson, 22, and Liam Hemsworth, 24, had led to some tomfoolery on set.
She told the Metro newspaper: "It was a blast on set. When Jen and Josh are together, things get raucous. And with Liam.
"Jen and I hadn’t met before. She is so talented. Everything you hear about her being grounded and fun is true."
Natalie – who hails from Reading, England – explained that she was happy to spend time with the 28-year-old Suffolk-born actor Sam Claflin, who plays Finnick Odair in ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise.
She joked: "It was certainly nice to have another Brit on set. You can talk about the biscuits you’re missing, like bourbons and KitKats."
