Pat Sharp is rooting for Mark Wright to win ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 53-year-old DJ famously struck up a friendship with the former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star in the ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ jungle in 2011 and he’s now confessed he believes Mark has what it takes to be crowned champion of the BBC One celebrity dance contest.
Pat exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "He’s doing really well, I think he could win it! He’s really got the hang of it because on the first one he was absolutely terrible, just awful!
"And now it’s like, anything Mark does, he takes it on and he works really hard at it. He wasn’t a television presenter or a radio presenter but now he does all of that, he is really good."
The former ‘Fun House’ star – who is currently appearing alongside a host of other celebrities in new online series ‘Staff Room’ – also revealed that Mark has even started putting on performances outside of the Strictly ballroom, with the help of his mum Carol.
He said: "We were at a party for his brother Josh’s 25th birthday and Mark was dancing with his mum and Carol was in a dress looking amazing and Mark was in a suit as he’d just come straight from Strictly. They were doing a proper dance routine for everyone and they were brilliant."
