Stevi Ritchie "lied through his teeth" about sleeping with Chloe-Jasmine Whichello.
The ‘X Factor’ hopeful – who enjoyed a passionate encounter with the former contestant behind her now ex-boyfriend, Craig Wiffen’s back – is said to have tried to cover up his tracks following their affair and even blamed his actions on the ITV show, claiming bosses forced him into having feelings for her.
Craig told The Sun newspaper: "Stevi lied through his teeth. He said he was sorry, but he thought Chloe was single – something he later admitted was lies.
"If you’ve done something wrong, for God’s sake, at least be man enough to own up to the truth.
"Then he tried to blame The X Factor. He said he’d felt under a huge amount of pressure to have feelings for Chloe because it was driving his ‘campaign’.
"He said he’d gone ahead with it because he wanted to be a success on the show, but complained that he had been exploited."
The 31-year-old former soldier – who split from Chloe-Jasmine, 23, following the revelations – branded the pair ‘disgusting" and insists he would "love" to punch Stevi in the face for using the relationship to boost his profile.
He said: "He’s a pathetic excuse for a human being and she’s no better.
"The fact they both lied to me is disgusting. And to know it was all for the sake of getting him more column inches makes it even worse.
"If I saw him in the street tomorrow I’d blank him because I’m a responsible person. But I’d love to punch him in the face."
