Lauren Platt wants to duet with Ella Eyre.
The 17-year-old singer is a huge fan of the ‘Comeback’ singer and if she makes it into the ‘X Factor’ final – when the hopefuls have to perform with an established artist – she would love to get the chance to sing with her idol.
Asked who she would want to duet with on the show’s final, she said: "Ella Eyre. I’m her biggest fan. I met her at a party the other night and it’s the first time I’ve felt starstruck. She’s so cool and wished me luck on the show."
Lauren is mentored on the show by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and loves having the support of such an "amazing" person because she helps calm her nerves.
She said: "Cheryl is amazing, just so cool. She’s chilled about everything.
"Even on a Sunday night before we go on stage for the results she says, ‘What will be will be’. That puts me in a chilled mindset and stops me panicking.
"Then I’ll see her backstage with her husband."
And Cheryl’s spouse, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini has also helped Lauren feel at ease.
She added to Now magazine: "[Jean-Bernard] is so cool and lovely, just like Cheryl. I’ll go into her dressing room panicking about something and he’s like, ‘Lauren, just chill.’ "
