Chris Martin’s friends think he is "still in love" with Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Coldplay frontman and actress Jennifer Lawrence recently ended their four-month relationship but rather than talking about their split, pals say he is immersing himself into writing music about the ‘Iron Man 3’ star, who he split from in March after almost 11 years of marriage.
A source said "All of Chris’ recent music seems to have been written about Gwyneth.
"Everyone is wondering if it’s because he’s still in love with her or if it’s his way of working through his feelings."
And though Jennifer is believed to have ended their relationship over frustrations about Chris’ closeness with Gwyneth, the ‘Fix You’ hitmaker – who has children Apple, 10, and Moses, eight, with his estranged wife – is said to have also been having doubts.
The source added to Grazia magazine: "Chris was married to Gwyneth for 11 years. He no doubt found it difficult to adjust to juggling his family and Jen.
"While he will initially have been swept away, he must have begun to find it hard to strike a balance and realised it might not be a long-term love with her."
