Louis Tomlinson escapes fame in Fiji

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has revealed the only country he’s not been recognised in is Fiji.

The 22-year-old singer makes up one fifth of the most popular boy band in the world – along with Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Harry Styles – and he admits he can’t really go anywhere without being mobbed.

However, he was able to escape attention when he went on vacation to the South Pacific island, something he admits was bliss.

In a joint interview on ‘Loose Women’ with Zayn and Niall, Louis said: "At first we were hoping (to just be successful) just the UK then all of a sudden it took off in different countries and now we’re successful all over. It’s definitely harder work than we thought it would be."

When asked if there’s anywhere he can go and not be recognised, he added: "I went to Fiji, that was fine. I was fine there. That was great, actually."

Louis also revealed the boys don’t get to see much of each other when they have a break from touring because they need to catch up with all their family and other friends.

He explained: "It’s always great to be home, we do normal stuff, I take the dogs for a walk. It’s not a conscious decision really (not to see each other) it’s just when we’ve got two weeks off it’s so little time to fit everyone else in. So we spend our time seeing our family, seeing our friends, and sitting at home relaxing and doing nothing."

Zayn, 21, added: "When I go home I’m just an annoying brother again."
