Geri Halliwell was accused of being underage at a Texas bar.
The 42-year-old former Spice Girl was shocked to find herself being questioned by staff and was ordered to show the bar workers identification to prove she was over 21 – the legal drinking age in the US.
Geri – who entered Pete’s Duelling Piano Bar in Austin, Texas, to enjoy a beverage – was left amused by the incident and quickly took to Twitter to share news of the mix-up with her 335,000 followers, reports The Sun newspaper.
She wrote: "OMG! I just got ID!!"
The ‘Spice Up Your Life’ hitmaker obviously enjoyed her evening out, later sharing a photo of the bar, along with the caption: "Sooo fun (sic)".
It isn’t the first time Geri has been questioned over her age.
The singer was left red faced after rumours emerged she had lied about being 21 when she joined the Spice Girls and was actually 25.
The star’s lies were rumbled once again by her ex-bandmate Victoria Beckham who confessed Geri was in her 30s when she threw herself a 29th birthday bash.
