Daniel Radcliffe bans glasses

Daniel Radcliffe has banned himself from ever wearing glasses.

The 25-year-old actor – who starred as the boy wizard in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series – has revealed he will insist on having contact lenses if his sight ever gets impaired because he doesn’t want to be compared to the character he played for 10 years.

He told MTV: "It’s gonna be contacts or like triangular glasses or something just to really put some distance."

Meanwhile, the ‘Horns’ star recently revealed that he is desperate for fans to stop comparing his recent work to his role in the fantasy series.

He explained: "There is no one film that fully separates me, in the eyes of everyone else, from Harry Potter – that isn’t going to happen.

"It’s about building up as diverse and interesting a body of work as I can."

He added: "I’m looking forward to the day where I can release a film and it not be talked about in [relation to ‘Harry Potter’]."

Daniel also admitted that he wants to show his future children the ‘Harry Potter’ films but will wait until they are old enough.

When asked if he thinks the movies will "stand the test of time", he said: "Well will they or won’t they remake them before my kids are grown up? Will my kids be saying, ‘My Dad was the original Harry Potter?’

"That’s all a possibility! I have thought at what age would I let my kids see those films because it is such a weird thing – I think I’m going to try and not for a long time."
