Jessica Alba thinks having children is one of the biggest risks she has ever taken.
The 33-year-old actress, who has daughters Honor, six, and Haven, three, with husband Cash Warren, says it was difficult to take some time away from her Hollywood career in favour of starting a family when she was 28.
Asked about some of the most daring things she has done in life, the brunette beauty said: "Even becoming a mother was risky. It meant cooling off from this business, which was all I had known my entire life. I had to peace-out at 28, completely shift my priorities, and not be apologetic and not care about the consequences."
But Jessica, whose eco-friendly brand The Honest Company is worth almost $1 billion, believes she changed a lot when she turned 30 in 2011.
She added to Harper’s Bazaar magazine: "After I turned 30, I became more daring as a woman. Having a successful company had a hand in that. I’ve set my priorities in a different place, with my children and my family. I dared to look at projects outside of Hollywood, and I’m so happy that I did.
"I want to be daring. I want to be innovative. I want to disrupt the marketplace. I want to show that there’s a better, cleaner way to live our lives."
