Pharrell surprises fundraising fan

Pharrell Williams shocks a lucky fan on ‘Surprise Surprise’.

The ‘Happy’ hitmaker appears on the latest series of the ITV show – which rewards deserving members of the public – to surprise fundraiser Holly Addison, who has devoted herself to raising money and awareness for Cancer Research UK, The Katherine House Hospice and Brain Tumour Research after her father passed away from brain cancer last year.

The 41-year-old singer is seen walking in on the 21-year-old from Staffordshire in a restaurant with her family during a dance flash mob, leaving Holly so shocked by his appearance that she attempts to run away.

Holly was put forward for the surprise by her best friend Lauren Hawke, also 21, who felt her devotion to the cause deserved to be recognised.

The show – which starts on Wednesday October 22 – is hosted by ‘This Morning’ presenter Holly Willoughby and also features appearances from Stephen Fry, who enjoys a dinner date with a fan and a performance for one lucky nominee by Nicole Scherzinger.

As well as celebrity guests, the hour-long episodes see another member of the public get to meet a young boy from Africa whose education she has been sponsoring, while two foster carers – who have looked after 250 children – receive a heartfelt thank you.
