Naomi Watts felt like Bill Murray’s agent after he gave her his phone number.
The ‘St. Vincent’ actress claims filmmakers and producers started reaching out to her in a bid to get in touch with her extremely private co-star, who only gives a select number of people his contact details and doesn’t have an agent or a manager.
The 46-year-old star told Variety magazine: "People have cast me as the person to get to him. Three people have called and asked, ‘Do you think you can get a script to Bill?’ I’m like, ‘Do I look like an agent? No thank you!’ "
Bill admits he doesn’t like Twitter and email, and only has an old Blackberry so he can communicate with his six sons via text message.
The 64-year-old actor took a break from acting after ‘Ghostbusters’ became a global hit in the 1980s because he didn’t want to be famous.
He said: "I sort of removed myself from the movie-star track. I just saw how much it was going to take to do that. I didn’t want that."
Bill only enrolled in a sketch comedy group after dropping out of college.
He said: "I wanted to be a baseball player. I’m normal. And then I wanted to be a doctor, because I thought I was smart. It turns out there’s a lot of studying involved with pre-med. I wanted it to be easier than that."
But the ‘Monuments Men’ actor says there are some perks to being famous.
He said: "Being famous is like — what the hell. You can get into a restaurant that’s closing. Sometimes you get out of a traffic ticket. It’s kind of like everyone else’s life."
