The X Factor’s Jake Quickenden says romance may be on the cards for Steve Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine.
The 26-year-old hunk – who is one of the contestants in Mel B’s boys category on the ITV talent show this year – has revealed two of his competitors have grown close over the past couple of weeks.
Quizzed on whether any romantic relationships were beginning to form in the house they’re all staying in, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz at the 2014 Attitude Awards: "I don’t know. There are a few little budding romances kicking off in there.
"I don’t know if I should … Well I’ll just say Stevie Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine seem quite good friends.
"There’s nothing going on but they really get on. It’s actually quite sweet to watch. They’re both really nice people and they’re both really friendly and they get on really well. I’d love to see a Stevie-Jasmine."
Jake failed to get past Nicole Scherzinger’s judge’s houses stage of the competition in 2012 but auditioned again this year and was put through to the live shows by mentor Mel B, but he’s now admitted it’s hard not to let the pressure of performing every week get to him.
He explained: "Yeah it’s a little bit more [nerve-wracking] as I’ve made the live shows this time. It’s a bigger platform, bigger show. Everybody watches it on a Saturday night. I’m trying to keep my cool and remain me."
