Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has praised Kimberley Walsh for how well she’s adapted to motherhood.
The former Girls Aloud singer believes her ex-bandmate and best friend is a great mum to her four-week-old son Bobby, whom she has with her long-term partner Justin Scott, but she admits she’s eagerly waiting for a chance to bond with the little one as well.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Fabulous magazine, Cheryl said: "She was like a perfect, instant mother and Justin is incredible.
"The problem is she won’t be parted from [Bobby] for a minute, so I’m having to wait my turn.
"I’ve got a cot ready at my house. But really I just want a few hours holding him so I can totally bond with him. "But Kimberley is completely in love and won’t let him out of her sight yet."
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old beauty faced criticism after she married her French beau Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in a secret ceremony in July following just under a year of dating, but she’s adamant she’s made the right decision.
She explained: "It was my heart and my head. I’m not an 18 year old, I’m a 31-year-old woman and I know what I’m doing. I’m doing what makes me happy and that is what is right for me."
Cheryl refused to give away too much information about her relationship with Jean-Bernard but she admits she’s learnt how to speak French now.
She said with a laugh: "I can speak pretty good French now."
