The first trailer has been released for the eagerly-awaited third film in the ‘Taken’ franchise.
The new teaser to the movie – which has seen its title updated to ‘Tak3n’ – stars Hollywood legends Liam Neeson, 62, and Forest Whitaker, 53.
The clip sees the Irishman’s on-screen character Bryan Mills go on the run after being framed for the murder of his wife, played by Famke Janssen, 48.
Mills is tasked with evading the clutches of the authorities for long enough so that the real perpetrators of the crime are found.
Whitaker plays the role of the police officer trying to track down Mills, while Maggie Grace, 31 – who has also appeared in ‘Lost’ – reprises her role as Mills’ daughter Kim.
The new film – which is being directed by Olivier Magaton, who was in charge of the second ‘Taken’ flick – is set to be released on January 8, 2015.
Meanwhile, it was announced late last month that Liam Neeson is to star in ‘Ted 2’.
The comedy film follows the adventures of John Bennett, played by Mark Wahlberg, and his living brown bear Ted, played by Seth MacFarlane, who is writing, directing and starring in the movie.
