Al Pacino ‘proud’ of Lindsay Lohan

Al Pacino is "proud" of Lindsay Lohan.

The 28-year-old actress – who is currently making her West End debut in ‘Speed-the-Plow’ – revealed she bumped into the Hollywood legend at a London hotel, where he praised her and offered her some advice.

Lindsay told the Daily Mirror: "I was in the Corinthia hotel and he was there. I’m a huge fan and he gave me some good advice.

"He told me doing the play is one of the best things I could do as an actor, especially for future roles. He said he was proud of me for doing it."

Meanwhile, Lindsay – who forgot some of her lines during the show’s first performance – has hit back at her critics, insisting that it wasn’t a "disaster".

She explained: "It could’ve been a disaster – but it wasn’t by far.

"I was nervous on the first night because I’d never done it before. But everyone has been really great.

"Every night feels more natural and comfortable. I’m not used to a live audience, it’s a much quicker buzz."

The ‘Mean Girls’ star also admitted she had refrained from reading any bad reviews about the show’s debut night.

She said: "Everyone is always going to be judgemental, no matter what.

"I respect people have an opinion, but I’m doing the best I can and will for the duration. I’m doing this because working makes me feel happy and this is a new venture for me."
