George Clooney plans to toast his upcoming nuptials with his own tequila.
The 53-year-old actor’s close friend and rumoured best man Rande Gerber, who is married to supermodel Cindy Crawford, was spotted loading 100 cases of their award-winning Casamigos Tequila onto a private jet from California to Italy, ahead of his wedding to Amal Alamuddin in Venice on September 27.
Sources told PEOPLE.com that the restauranteur, who cofounded the beverage brand with the Oscar winner, brought dozens of bottles of Blanco, Reposado and Anejo tequila to Europe for the couple’s big day.
It was recently revealed the ‘Monuments Men’ star’s future parents-in-law, Ramzi and Baria Alamuddin, are footing the bill for the wedding, as they have insisted on sticking to the tradition of the bride’s family paying for the event.
An insider said: "Crazy enough, her family is paying for most of it!"
The couple are expected to wed in front of just 60 guests, including Matt Damon.
Earlier this month, George admitted he can’t wait to get married.
He said: "I would just like to say to my bride-to-be, Amal, that I love you very much. And I can’t wait to be your husband."
