Nick Loeb says Sofia Vergara is a "very special woman" who "deserves all the best".
The 39-year-old businessman – who was with the ‘Modern Family’ actress for four years before she called off their engagement earlier this year – admits they are still friends, despite her having already moved on.
Speaking to Mexican TV show ‘El Gordo y la Flaca’ about their break-up, he said: "The relationship didn’t work, but we both went ahead. People should not believe every rumour, we are still good friends.
"She is a very special woman and she deserves all the best."
Since splitting from Nick, Sofia, 42, has started dating ‘Magic Mike’ star Joe Manganiello and her former fiance has confessed he can certainly see the attraction.
He added: "They are a great couple. Joe is a very attractive guy and I think they are fantastic people."
Nick’s comments come after he revealed earlier this week that if he was a woman he would want to date the 37-year-old hunk himself.
He told the New York Post: "He’s a great-looking guy. I guess if I was a girl, I’d be dating him, too."
He did, however, appear to make a dig at Sofia – who has 21-year-old son Manolo from her marriage to Joe Gonzalez – by speaking about what kind of woman he’s now looking for.
He said: "I’m sort of conservative, so I like a girl to dress a little classier."
