Sam Faiers has been rushed to hospital after a major health scare on the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The reality TV star was taken ill for the second time during the current series and had to be taken out of the house after suffering an allergic reaction to an unidentified substance which made her face swell up.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, a source said: "This is serious.
"Sam is really struggling. It’s why she hasn’t been featured as much in the highlights as she would have if she was fully fit."
It is said the experience has become "a nightmare" for the 24-year-old beauty, and it is not known whether she will be able to make it to the final on Wednesday (29.01.14).
An insider added: "The poor girl. Going on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ was like a dream come true for her but the whole experience has been a nightmare because of illness.
"There are still five days to go to the final. Questions are being asked over whether she should maybe leave on health grounds."
Meanwhile, a Channel 5 spokesman confirmed: "While Sam was out of the house she was accompanied at all times by a member of staff who ensured that contact with the outside world remained at a minimum."
