London Grammar receive four nominations at AIM awards

London Grammar have received four nominations for the Association of Independent Music (AIM) awards.

The three-piece group, who formed in 2012, have been nominated for Best Album, Best Indie Breakthrough, Live Act and Track of the Year for ‘Strong’, their hit single.

Other acts to have been handed multiple nominations include Arctic Monkeys, Bonobo and FKA Twigs, with the winners set to be named at a bash in London on September 2.

Meanwhile, musician Ben Watt – who is most famous for his work during 1980s and 90s as part of Everything But The Girl – has been nominated for the Best Difficult Second Album gong.

The glitzy event will also feature a number of other awards, including a prize for the Most Played New Independent Artist and an Outstanding Contribution to Music Prize, while a Pioneer award is to be handed to Martin Mills of the Beggars music group, which represents the likes of Adele and M.I.A.
