Calvin Harris gives away songs he wrote for Rita Ora

Calvin Harris is giving songs he wrote for former girlfriend Rita Ora to Alexis Jordan.

Although Calvin was working on Rita’s upcoming album while they were together, he has reportedly offered tunes he wrote for her to the 22-year-old singer who is hoping to relaunch her career three years after her debut single ‘Happiness’.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Alexis has an amazing voice that works really well with house music, she’s a fan of the genre and hoping to put new material out soon."

This is more bad news for Rita, 23, who recorded a number of songs with her former beau – including hit single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ before Calvin, 30, insisted she cannot release any more of the tunes they made together.

A source previously said: "Rita’s album has hit a bit of a road block after Calvin pulled all the songs he had worked on for the project before they split.

"He’d made a lot of songs for her but they’re now likely to go to other artists."

It’s been reported that the pair made at least a dozen tracks together, which were to represent the bulk of the eagerly-awaited record.

The source added: "Calvin wants a clean break, personally and professionally. He’s already given her one massive hit so doesn’t feel her owes her.

"He doesn’t want to be linked to her, especially now she’s in a new relationship with Rich Hilfiger."

Rita’s first studio album, Ora, was released in 2012 and spawned a number of huge hits, including ‘RIP’ and ‘How We Do (Party)’.
