Bradley Cooper had never met Vin Diesel

Bradley Cooper had never met his ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ co-star until they appeared together on a talk show to promote the finished film.

The 39-year-old actor provides the voice for Rocket the racoon in the upcoming sci-fi adventure while Vin Diesel voiced the character Groot, and he’s admitted they never met while making the movie.

Appearing with his other co-stars – Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista – on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, Cooper said: "Yeah we just met … For real, for the first time."

Meanwhile, Chris Pratt – who takes on the lead role of pilot Peter Quill in the James Gunn directed project – confessed his energy on set often got him into trouble with the crew, who were worried about their budget.

The ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ actor said: "I was truly playing every day. I had a laser gun and a spaceship … a mask! It was funny, I would shoot this gun, this blaster, and over and over again they kept yelling, ‘Cut’. Because, on the day, during the take, I was going [makes toy gun noises]. I was like, ‘Come on, that felt really good to me’.

"And they were like, ‘That just cost us a hundred and fifty thousand dollars! Stop with making the noise with your mouth’."
