Simon Cowell has insisted on taking Dermot O’Leary’s ‘X Factor’ dressing room.
The 41-year-old TV presenter was given Simon’s old quarters when he quit the show in 2010, but the music mogul has snatched it back ahead of his return to the ITV singing competition this year.
The plush dressing room is the largest one at Fountain Studios in north London, where the ‘X Factor’ live shows are filmed, and is fitted with luxury amenities as well as a private bathroom.
Simon, 54, has already called in a decorating team to give it an overhaul with new carpeting, padded walls and a luxury sofa.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Poor Dermot. First he gets ridiculed in ‘The X Factor’ musical ‘I Can’t Sing’ and now he’s being evicted from the best dressing room."
Cheryl Cole, who is also back on the judging panel, will get back her old dressing room, too, following Nicole Scherzinger’s decision to quit the show.
New judge Mel B will take over Sharon Osbourne’s old quarters while ‘X Factor’ stalwart Louis Walsh will remain in the dressing room he uses every year.
