Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson looked "so in love" on their honeymoon.
The couple – who tied the knot on 4 July – spent a week in the presidential suite at the luxurious Four Seasons Punta Mita Resort in Mexico, and spent much of their vacation at the secluded hotel relaxing by the pool and on the beach.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "They had an amazing time and looked so in love during the entire visit.
"They enjoyed cocktails by the pool and spent a lot of time on the beach, just relaxing after their big day."
Despite the resort boasting first-class spa facilities, the newlyweds chose not to visit, preferring their "natural surroundings".
The source added: "They just let the natural surroundings put them at peace.
"They [were] lounging around at the resort, and enjoying their first week together as husband and wife."
During her honeymoon, Jessica – who has daughter Maxwell, two, and son Ace, 13 months, with Eric – celebrated turning 34 and marked the occasion with a social media posting of herself relaxing in the resort.
She wrote: "And the sun sets on 33."
