Prince George’s bath time is ‘painful’

Britain’s Prince William admits Prince George’s bath time can be "quite painful".

The 32-year-old royal joked about his parenting struggle as he was honoured as the new president of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) at a reception in London yesterday (09.07.14).

William, who donned a wetsuit and goggles, got into a swimming pool for a scuba diving session and expressed his hope that adorable George – who turns one later this year – will enjoy snorkelling and diving too.

He said: "I hope my son George will also learn with the club but, at the moment, bath time is quite painful. But, as he gets older, I imagine donning a mask and snorkel might calm him down."

The prince takes over the role of BSAC president from his father Prince Charles, 65, who held the position for 40 years.

William added: "It is a great honour to take over as president from my father and my grandfather before him."

In his speech as outgoing president, Charles teased that William would show off his "buff credentials" by donning a skin-tight wetsuit.

Prince William was presented with several gifts including a T-shirt with a seal wearing a snorkel and mask for baby George.
