Zoe Saldana had a "beautiful" time after splitting from Bradley Cooper.
The ‘Avatar’ actress dated the ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor for around a year until December 2012 and though she met her now-husband Marco Perego just a few months later, she cherished her time alone.
She said: "I was finally able to spend time without being in a relationship, and even though it was a short period of time, it was beautiful. I lost that fear of being alone. It was bliss."
And the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ star thinks the time alone helped when she met artist Marco.
She added in an interview with Fashion magazine: "I met my partner when I was in really a beautiful place in my life. It was like I found all my answers with him not in him. I was finding my answers on my own."
Meanwhile, in her professional life, Zoe says she has learned not to be competitive as she thinks that would "weaken" her.
She explained: "I was a ferocious dancer so therefore I was a ferocious up-and-coming actress.
"When it comes to auditions, I’m not competitive with anybody. I don’t even know who’s sitting next to me. I wouldn’t even tell you if it was a blond or brunette. The moment you compare yourself, it weakens you."
