Catherine and William are competitive at tennis

Britain’s Prince William and Duchess Catherine are "quite competitive" at tennis.

The royal couple has revealed they try to outdo each other when they play the sport, but the Duchess of Cambridge – who gave birth to adorable Prince George just 12 months ago – admits she’s now rusty since becoming a mother.

William and Catherine, both 32, congratulated Serbian tennis pro Novak Djokovic after his victory in the Wimbledon men’s final yesterday (06.07.14) and admitted their own love of the sport.

Quizzed by Novak if she’s a fan, Catherine said: "Very keen, I’m slightly out of practice since having George."

The brunette beauty then added she and her spouse "have quite a competitive game".

According to HELLO! magazine, Novak, 27, began the conversation with the royals by thanking them for watching his hard-fought tennis match against Roger Federer.

Catherine responded: "How could we leave?"

The pair were among a star-studded audience to watch the final.

They were joined in the royal box by Catherine’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton, as well as her sister Pippa Middleton and Pippa’s boyfriend Nico Jackson.
