Dean Fagan won’t watch Corrie kisses

Dean Fagan won’t watch his steamy ‘Coronation Street’ kisses.

The actor’s alter-ego Luke Britton is set to lock lips with a drunken Carla Barlow (Alison King) in tonight’s (07.07.14) episode of the ITV soap, but Dean admits he won’t be tuning in because he doesn’t want to upset his girlfriend, Louise Pridding.

He told The Sun newspaper: "My girlfriend ridicules me about playing a ladies’ man. Of course I’m not like that in real life but it’s still going to be weird seeing your partner chatting up other girls and I’d never force her to watch me doing a kissing scene.

"We don’t watch ‘Coronation Street’ together for that reason. If it’s just pure dialogue I would ask what she thought — she’s my biggest critic and I really appreciate her opinion.

"But we’ll most likely give the scenes with Carla a miss!"

Dean – who took on the role of mechanic Luke six months ago – also receives plenty of feedback from his father Lee, who is a real-life mechanic.

He added: "He lets me know if I’m doing something wrong!"

The hunky actor’s ‘Corrie’ contract was recently extended and he admits it’s a "privilege" to appear on the soap.

He said: "It’s a privilege and a pressure to get it right, but it’s a fantastic feeling and I’m very grateful to the show for letting me be on it."
