Tom Jones will help choose The Voice judges

Sir Tom Jones will be allowed to choose his fellow judges on ‘The Voice’.

The legendary pop star admitted he missed Kylie Minogue after the singer decided to quit the show, but revealed he will "have a say" in the decision-making regarding her replacement.

He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I’ll miss Kylie. She’s lovely. There’s quite a few people who could replace her and I have a say when they put a name forwards.

"I can say if I like that or don’t like that. There are quite a few names on the table."

Meanwhile, Tom recently confirmed the remaining judges – including will.i.am and Ricky Wilson – were "in talks" with show bosses to see which of them will return for another series.

He added: "We’re in talks at the moment to see who will do it again.

"It’s a shame Kylie can’t come back but I’m not sure about will.i.am, but I hope Ricky will come back.

"I’d love to return for another season."

However, it was recently reported that the show’s bosses were becoming "desperate" because of the fear Kylie won’t be the only judge to quit.

A source previously claimed: "The bosses are desperate to sign someone brilliant to replace Kylie. But the first question they are asked at every meeting is: ‘Who else is involved?’

"Not being able to say for sure is a problem."
