Kelly Osbourne’s mum taught her to be a ‘fighter’

Kelly Osbourne’s mother Sharon taught her to be a "fighter".
The ‘Fashion Police’ co-host admits her mum, who underwent surgery for colon cancer in 2002 and had a double mastectomy in 2012, is her biggest inspiration because she’s shown her how to make the most out of life and appreciate every single day.
Speaking to BWatt magazine, she explained: " She taught me to be a fighter, that a smile can be the best medicine, to live every day as if it’s your last, that family is all that really matters, and that love is the only true thing that lasts forever."
However, the 29-year-old star – who has battled an addiction to pain killers in the past – admits she hasn’t always had a positive outlook on life and would often wonder why her family were be thrown so many obstacles their way until she realised life is full of challenges.
She explained: "For so long I sat back and said to myself ‘why me?’ Why did I almost kill myself with drugs? Why did my mum almost die from cancer? Why did my dad [Ozzy Osbourne] get into a motorcycle accident that almost killed him? Why does my brother [Jack] have Multiple Sclerosis, a disease of which there is no cure?
"Then I sat back and really thought about my life and I realised that this is just life. I would be an ignorant brat to think I was the only person in the world facing challenges like this."
