Orlando Bloom has bought a $4.875 million bachelor pad.
The ‘Lord of the Rings’ star – who split from Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr in October after three years of marriage – decided to move into a fourth-floor, three-bedroom loft in Tribeca, New York City so he and his estranged wife can easily continue to co-parent their three-year-old son, Flynn.
A source told the New York Post that the British star’s new place, located in the same historic building as Taylor Swift’s lavish $19.9 million penthouse apartment, was thrilled when his offer was accepted, as he fell in love with the cast-iron columns, exposed brick walls, open chef’s kitchen and wood-beamed ceilings in the property.
His new place is in the same neighbourhood as the apartment he began renting after his split from the former Victoria’s Secret model.
The 37-year-old actor is still on good terms with Miranda, 31, who lives on the Upper East Side of the city, but she recently admitted she is still trying to get over him.
She said: "We all have bad days and negative emotions but I’ve realised it’s important to sit with it and let it pass, and if it doesn’t pass, choose a thought that will help it pass. Focus on what it is that you’re grateful for. Having perspective is key."
