WWE star Joe Hendry wants to take new album on the road with live tour

WWE superstar Joe Hendry wants to go on tour after releasing his new album.

The 38-year-old star, who has become known for bridging a gap between music and wrestling with his tongue in cheek persona, dropped new album Beyond Belief on Monday (05.10.26) and the LP has already soared up the iTunes charts.

Asked if he wants to hit the road for some gigs to promote the record, Joe told the Metro Scotland newspaper: “1,000 per cent.

“When my I Believe In Joe Hendry single came out, I did a bunch of life shows, and they were always well attended.

“It would be awesome to do that.”

Scottish star Joe, who rose from the UK independent wrestling scene to the top of WWE and will return to Glasgow for Monday Night Raw in January 2027, has created an eclectic mix of songs for his album.

Among his influences are Buddy Holly legends Weezer, as he praised the writing of Rivers Cuomo.

He said: “Weezer are my favourite band. Their music kind of sounds like rock and roll nursery rhymes.”

The former champion, who has held gold in TNA Wrestling and WWE’s NXT brand, noted how releasing Beyond Belief through WWE was a natural extension of his in-ring persona, which has seen him ridicule opponents through song.

He added: “Music is such a big part of wrestling. I knew that I was able to write catchy songs pretty quickly.

“It would have been foolish not to use that.”

Joe, who has admitted in the past that some wrestlers have been “upset” by his parodies mocking them, previously reflected on his ability to combine two of his dreams into one career.

In February, he told the Metro: “I’ve oftentimes looked back on my music endeavours – which I did for 10 years. And I thought, I was saying to my mom, ‘It’s a shame I failed with that, I wish I’d done X, Y, Z.’

“And she was like, ‘What are you talking about? It’s a huge part of your job now!’ She’s right!

“My life has been on all these twists and turns, ups and downs and all these different endeavours, and now they’re here.”
