Jonas Brothers unleash new single at sold‑out MSG as Burning Up era returns

Jonas Brothers kicked off their Burning Up revival in New York on Thursday night (20.08.26), debuting their next single Listen When Sad live at Madison Square Garden.

The track drops on streaming services next Friday (28.08.27), and marks a return to the sound that first pushed the trio into the mainstream.

Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas opened the show with a full Burning Up‑themed set, tearing through early favorites including That’s Just The Way We Roll, Burnin’ Up, S.O.S. and Lovebug. The second half of the night stretched across their 20‑year career, with fan favorites such as Love Me To Heaven, Sucker and Only Human keeping the crowd on its feet.

The new single sees the brothers reconnect with producer John Fields, who worked on their earliest records and helped define the band’s original sound. They also reunited with several musicians and engineers from those sessions.

Jonas Brothers said: “There’s something special about going back to one of the most pivotal eras in our musical journey.

“Listen When Sad reunites us with John Fields for the first time since 2009. To us, it feels like a piece of our heritage channeled through who we are today.”

The demand for MSG run has now sparked a nationwide expansion. The Burning Up Tour All Over Again will grow into a 45‑city North American tour, bringing the early‑era set to arenas across the US and Canada before moving into a second set of hits from the past two decades.

The tour begins September 25 at TD Garden in Boston and includes stops in Toronto, Washington, D.C., Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle and Denver. It wraps December 21 at Prudential Center in Newark. Magnus Ferrell, Franklin Jonas and All Time Low will appear on select dates.

Tickets are on sale now via ticketmaster.com.
