Megan Moroney says her Cloud 9 Tour has ‘changed lives’

Megan Moroney says her tour has “changed lives”.

The 28‑year‑old country‑pop star is nearing the end of The Cloud 9 Tour, which wraps on October 1 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and she says she’s been overwhelmed by messages from fans who found the show genuinely cathartic.

She told PEOPLE: “I think it’s more than a concert, and that’s what I’ve realised on this tour. I think, genuinely, the show has helped people, which is not something I ever imagined would be possible as an artist. You think, ‘Oh, I’m just here to entertain.’ But when I meet my fans and read messages and stuff, the show has changed some of their lives. So it’s really impactful, and it’s just made me feel very grateful for all of the good things that have come with

the tour.”

The Am I Okay singer described her concerts as “such a positive, inclusive, happy environment”, even when she and her fans are “singing about really sad stuff”.

As for her plans once the tour ends, Megan said: “I’m probably gonna go to the beach for an extended period of time. And sleep. I’m gonna take a nap!”

On Monday (17.08.26), Megan made an unannounced stop at Raising Cane’s in Novi,Michigan before her sold‑out Cloud 9 show at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena – hopping behind the counter for a playful, one‑off shift that delighted fans lining up for chicken and selfies.

She joked she’d be a natural at the job: “I honestly think I’d make it here – I don’t think they’d fire me. I’d crush it in the drive‑through. My go‑to line is, ‘Yo, yo‑yo, you want some

chicken to go?’ I can’t resist a rhyme. If nothing else, I’d get hired for the

personality.”

Cane’s is also selling a bedazzled tumbler, with part of the proceeds going to the Megan Moroney Foundation, which raises awareness around bullying and mental

health. Fans had begged the chain to release the pink rhinestone cup after Megan carried one during a Raising Cane’s event in Athens, Georgia last year.

The tumbler costs $19.99, with $2 from each sale donated to the non‑profit.

Megan said: “Anytime I can raise money for my foundation, we’re gonna do it. I have a lot of influence over the younger generation, and when I read my messages and I

read letters people write me and I meet people in person, mental health is such a strong topic.”

She added: “It’s just really important to me to raise money and put awareness on

mental health for young people, because everyone’s going through something and

it’s important to talk about it.”
