Ellie Goulding surprises fans with new dance collaboration, Ravers, out tomorrow

Ellie Goulding is dropping a new song called Ravers on Wednesday (05.08.26).

The pop star has been rolling out singles for her forthcoming album, I Know Too Much, including Black Prada Dress and 4 Seasons, but she has decided to give fans another track early.

Alongside a snippet of the tune that she made with Grammy-winning producer Dave Hamelin, she wrote on Instagram: “Made a song called Ravers with @thedavehamelin, felt like you guys needed it now so here you go.

“Song out on Wednesday, video out on Friday.”

It’s not yet clear whether Ravers appears on I Know Too Much or is being rolled out as its own standalone release.

4 Seasons came out last week and sees Ellie sing about falling head‑over‑heels in love with her partner, Beau Minniear.

The upcoming record reflects the emotional fallout from her 2024 separation from ex‑husband Caspar Jopling, with whom she has her four‑year‑old son, Arthur, but she has also gushed over the father of her daughter Iris, who she welcomed into the world in March.

The track is about the couple’s romantic getaway to the Four Seasons hotel in Florence when they first started dating.

Ellie sings on the track: “Daydreaming, faint feelings, f*** around at the Four Seasons. I think that I might be falling in love with you.

“I need it, wanna keep it. We mess around, put the damn key in. I think that I might be falling in love.”

Ellie previously told Nylon she never intended to make a “divorce album,” but the songs naturally gravitated toward that chapter of her life.

Some tracks were painful, while others helped her process the past with more clarity.

She said: “It had always been the goal to start this album. I didn’t know it was going to be a divorce album, but that’s the way it started heading.

“When I married my ex-husband, I thought it was for life. That will never go away, and that will always stay with me. There are some songs that are necessary for me to acknowledge that time in my life and to be respectful of it.

“Then there were some songs that were extremely reactionary and sad that I felt were good to do in the moment, but don’t serve me long-term.”

The songs move from “dark and angry” to “cynical,” then “funny,” and eventually into the excitement of finding new love.

She said: “It’s so funny that the process over the years is so indicative of how I was feeling at the time. The songs have gone from so dark and angry, to cynical, to funny, to coming out the other side, to meeting a new guy and being excited.”

I Know Too Much is released on September 4.
