Post Malone to headline 2026 FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony

Post Malone will headline the 2026 FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony.

The 31-year-old singer-and-rapper will deliver a “landmark performance” on Sunday (19.07.26) at 1.30pm EST – 90 minutes before Spain and Argentina fight to be crowned the winner of the tournament in a thrilling final match, held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, said in a statement: “At a time when sport, culture and global attention converge, Post Malone will deliver a performance designed to celebrate the tournament’s journey and ignite the atmosphere before the world’s attention turns to the two finalists.

“We are thrilled to have so many stars taking to the pitch, from both the football and entertainment worlds.

“The closing ceremony will set the tone for a historic FIFA World Cup final, uniting the passion of 48 teams, 16 host cities and millions of fans on one unforgettable stage.”

The Sunflower hitmaker joins a star-studded line-up for the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including Nicole Scherzinger, 48, Robbie Williams and Laura Pausini, both 52, and 64-year-old Tom Cruise.

Jennifer Hudson will deliver the national anthem before kick-off at 3pm EST.

Meanwhile, Madonna, 67, Shakira, 49, Justin Bieber, 32, and BTS co-headline the 11-minute 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show.

Chris Martin, 49, curated the line-up, which also features Burna Boy and Gustavo Dudamel, while Coldplay are due to perform with the PS22 Chorus and the Sesame Street Muppets.

Justin said: “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this halftime show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”

The concert will raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

The opening ceremony in the Estadio Azteca, Mexico City, on June 11 featured Shakira, J Balvin, 41, and 35-year-old Burna Boy.

Shakira and Burna Boy have been storming the charts with the official FIFA World Cup anthem, Dai Dai.

The track became the most-streamed song on Spotify globally, as well as topping the Billboard Global Chart.

Dai Dai, which fuses Latin and pop rhythm with Nigerian afrobeat, was released in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

Shakira has partnered with Global Citizen and FIFA to provide access to education for children in underserved communities.

Her royalties from Dai Dai are being donated to the Education Fund, while Sony Music vowed to match the first $250,000 raised with a donation.
