System of a Down spark fresh Oasis feud as London crowd chants brutal diss

System of a Down reignited their feud with Oasis as they headlined London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Grammy-winning hard rock band’s guitarist Daron Malakian led the crowd on Monday night (13.07.26) to chant “Pull Oasis out of your ass” after calling the Britpop legends “tapeworm”.

Before performing Needles, he said: “We have a song about a tapeworm. Just for fun today, I’m going to name the tapeworm Oasis.”

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher previously insulted the band in the 2000s.

Appearing on radio in the US, he said:  “I’m actually alive to hear the s*******t band of all time.”

The latest pop at Oasis comes almost a year after Daron stumbled upon a sign at the home of the Chicago Cubs baseball team that read “F*** Oasis”.

Sharing a picture of himself stood in front of Wrigley Field, he wrote on Instagram:  “Wow!!! I kept ending up at the right place at the right time in Chicago!!!!!”

SOAD have sparked all kinds of chaos at their shows over the years. Daron previously recalled the night they were “booed off the stage” on Slayer’s tour, with fans hurling a bagel and loose change at them as they walked off.

He told Metal Hammer: “Our first tour in the US and our first tour in Europe were both opening for Slayer. Some people got it, some people didn’t. We would get booed off the stage in some of those countries.”

He continued: “The approach I took to those Slayer shows was that if they didn’t start chanting ‘Slayer!’ while we were playing, I would make them start chanting ‘Slayer!’ We just didn’t let that faze us. I remember we were in Poland and people didn’t get it at all.

“They booed us off the stage, they threw things at us, they threw coins, they threw a bagel at Serj! But we just kept doing what we do and moving forward. Like, if I was a comedian, I find my jokes funny – if everyone else isn’t laughing, I don’t care.”
