Robbie Williams signs with iconic 90s band’s management team and teases ‘new chapter’

Robbie Williams has signed a new deal with Radiohead’s management team.

The Angels hitmaker – who split from his manager of 14 years, Michael Loney, earlier this year – cannot wait to get started on a “new chapter” in his music career after putting pen to paper on a contract with ATC Management, whose clients include Nick Cave and PJ Harvey.

Robbie – who dropped album Britpop in January – told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I’m thrilled about this next chapter and can’t wait to develop the amazing ideas we’re already working on.”

Amid his new management deal, Robbie is said to be “sitting on tons of new music”.

A source added to the publication: “Robbie is ready and raring to go.

“He wants to start a fresh new era, and his new management team is perfectly placed to shape his new direction.

“Everything has been going brilliantly over the past few years, and Robbie is sitting on tons of new music, but he knows more than anyone that change is good.”

ATC Management said: “It is a privilege to be working with one of the UK’s most enduring and iconic musical talents.

“Robbie has a huge year ahead, playing a series of major European festivals before headlining arenas and stadiums across South America, Australia and New Zealand.

“He is a true global star and we look forward to supporting the next exciting phase of his career.”

Earlier this year, Robbie admitted he lives in fear that his career could end at “any moment”.

Speaking in February, he said on Virgin Radio: “I have autocue at the gigs and it is like having a safety wire, I know it but I have had moments on live TV where I have completely forgotten the words and completely forgotten the melody and that’s when you realise that the colour of adrenaline is brown!

“This is a type of rope walk act…. We could fall.

“I could cause an international incident at any moment. I could end my career at any moment! And that is the anxiety that I am walking with and talking with at all times.”
