Five’s reunion tour was ‘healing’, says Scott Robinson

Scott Robinson found Five’s reunion tour “healing”.

The boy band – comprised of Abz Love, Jason “J” Brown, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson and Sean Conlon – hit the road across the UK in 2025 on their first tour together as a five-piece for 25 years, and the 46-year-old singer has admitted it’s the first time he’s been able to enjoy performing “in the moment”.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, Scott said: “It sounds soppy, but it felt healing in many ways. In the past, on tour, I’ve felt quite lost and in my own head. This time, I was in the moment every night, looking at my brothers here and thinking ‘Oh my God, they’re so talented, we’re actually really good at what we do!'”

As for what’s next for the band – who are set to play London’s Mighty Hoopla this weekend – they haven’t thought beyond September, but Scott hopes they can continue for “as long as possible”.

Ritchie, 46, said: “We haven’t looked past September, to be honest. We’ll all sit down then and see how we feel.

Scott added: “Who knows what the future holds? I’d carry on doing this as long as people want us to do it, and I’m sure all the boys would say the same!”

Five – whose hits include Everybody Get Up, Slam Dunk (Da Funk), If Ya Gettin’ Down and Keep On Movin’ – have been stunned to see so many younger fans in the audience singing along to every word of their ’90s pop hits.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz last year, Scott said: “I love the fact that during this whole tour we’ve seen our old fans in the front row who we recognise from 25 years ago.

“There’s fans bringing their daughters and their sons and they know the words. There has been five year olds, nine year olds singing Keep On Movin’ back to us. It’s incredible.”

Speaking about life on the road during the Keep On Movin’ Tour, the boys revealed that everything had been harmonious behind the scenes, with no squabbles or rows.

Scott said: “To be fair – I can’t believe I’m saying this – there’s not been any disagreements.

“We’ve had moments where we’re tired. I might have gone to Ritchie and said, ‘Quiet down a little bit today,’ and he has gone, ‘Yeah, man.’

“On the whole, we’ve just enjoyed ourselves and we’re very glad to be back … We’ve been very professional. We’ve kept on the level.”

Ritchie added: “We talk things out now.”
