Stuart Price says Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter had ‘immediate chemistry’ in the studio

Producer Stuart Price has revealed that Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter had “immediate” chemistry when they came together to record their new single Bring Your Love.

Speaking at a listening event for Madonna’s upcoming album, Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II, the producer said that the pair had already been in touch online before the collaboration took shape, but Queen of Pop Madonna was set on everything being done in person to ensure Sabrina was the perfect match.

He was quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “Her and Sabrina had been in touch on social media.

“The idea of doing a song together came up. Madonna’s first response was, ‘Let’s get in the room together and see,’ because you just don’t know.”

Price said the team travelled to New York to begin work, and the dynamic between the two artists was instant.

He said: “You’ve got one of the biggest stars in the world at the moment and one of the biggest stars of all time.

“Their physical chemistry from the second they got together in the studio was really immediate. They were funny together.”

He also described the energy behind the track itself, calling it a bold, attitude‑driven moment on the record.

Price went on: “Bring Your Love is basically a f**** you record.”

The collaboration marks one of the most talked‑about moments of Madonna’s new era, with fans already reacting strongly to the pairing following their surprise performance together at Coachella.

Upon its release, Sabrina encouraged the pair’s fans to take a phone break and “get out and dance” to the tune.

She shared to Instagram: “Thank you Madonna for inviting me to be a part of Confessions II.

“I hope you all enjoy it and take a break from phone and go out and dance!”

Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II, the long-awaited follow-up to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, is released on July 3.

Fans also know that the track I Feel So Free features a nod to her 1985 tune Into the Groove, with the line: “Out here on the dance floor, I feel so free.”
