Liam Gallagher teases ‘possible’ Oasis Celtic Park show amid 2027 tour buzz

Liam Gallagher has once again sent fans into meltdown after dropping a cryptic hint about playing Celtic Park in Glasgow during a future Oasis tour.

The frontman of the legendary Britpop group – who played their first shows in 16 years on the Oasis Live ’25 tour last year – has further fuelled speculation that Oasis could hit the road again in 2027.

A fan asked Liam on X/Twitter: “How you feeling about playing Celtic Park by the way?”

Sparking a frenzy, Liam responded: “How you feeling about us possibly playing Celtic Park?”

The general consensus is that fans are all for a Celtic Park tour stop, but he did wind up some supporters of rival team Rangers.

One replied: “DONT DO THIS TO ME LIAM RANGERS TILL I DIE (sic).”

As always, Liam is known to play with fans on the social media app, so he could just be teasing.

Over the weekend, a source told the Sunday Mail of the “early” talks for a return to Scotland: “Nothing has been finalised and it is early days but the Gallagher brothers are very keen to tour in 2027 and a return to Scotland would be a no brainer if a deal can be done.

“There has been talk of new songs and the 2025 gigs were a massive success globally so who wouldn’t want to continue.

“Playing Murrayfield again could be a possibility, and Hampden Park is also in contention, but Liam and Noel are big Celtic fans and they would love to play Celtic Park.

“Their mum Peggy was born in Ireland and is a huge Celtic supporter so if a deal could be done to play Parkhead they would be delighted.

“Things are at an early stage but there would be the potential for stadiums to be free towards the end of May.”

Liam also recently told fans in Rome, Italy that he’ll be back in the city in 2027, “without a doubt. 100 per cent.”

Meanwhile, Liam and Noel will give their first joint interview in 25 years in a new Oasis documentary.

The formerly feuding brothers teamed up with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight for the documentary, which will be released on September 11.

Knight said: “I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people’.

“I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever.

“It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.”

Siblings Noel and Liam famous fell out in 2009 with a huge bust-up in Paris, leading to the implosion of the band Oasis.

They remained at loggerheads for 15 years before reconciling for their huge comeback tour.

The film will follow the Gallagher siblings in the lead-up to their 2025 gigs.
