Joe Jonas explains why he’s ‘so happy’ for Demi Lovato

Joe Jonas thinks Demi Lovato is “crushing it” at the moment.

The 36-year-old pop star recently made a surprise appearance during Demi’s It’s Not That Deep tour in Orlando, Florida, and Joe is full of praise for Demi, observing that her show is “amazing”.

Joe – who briefly dated Demi in 2010, after they starred together in the film Camp Rock – told People: “I’m so happy for her. She’s crushing it.”

Joe – who appears alongside his siblings, Kevin and Nick, in the Jonas Brothers – has encouraged his own fans to see Demi on tour.

He said: “This show’s amazing, and I encourage everyone to go see it.”

Joe reunited with Demi, 33, during her tour opener in April, and he even hinted that he could make another appearance later in the tour.

Asked if he could appear during another tour stop, Joe replied: “You never know, you never know. We’ll have to see.”

Demi performed alongside the Jonas Brothers at their show in New Jersey in 2025, and she subsequently revealed that she found the experience to be “healing”.

Demi also revealed that the Jonas Brothers enjoyed some “meaningful” time in the dressing room with her husband, Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes.

Speaking on the Chicks in the Office podcast, Demi said: “[Joe] was like, ‘Hey, what are you doing next weekend on the 10th? We would love to have you come and perform This Is Me and Wouldn’t Change a Thing. You’ve been a huge part of our journey and … this show is really important to us and we would love to have you there.

“It was so nice. We’ve been through so much together, all of us, the Jonas Brothers and I, and it was really, really great to spend time with them.

“They came to my room all three of them and spent time getting to know my husband, which was really meaningful to me.

“And they just thanked me profusely for flying across the country to perform with them and it was just so thoughtful and I felt so appreciated and it was really healing for us. I loved it. Every second of it was so great.”
